Ofsted Tellus3 in Surrey

 What is Tellus3

Tellus3 is a confidential web-based survey commissioned by Ofsted, that will be administered in local authorities across the country to provide national benchmark data on the views of children and young people.

The questions in the survey are directly focused on gathering information for Ofsted’s Children’s Services inspections. A small number, particularly those relating to emotional well-being and substance misuse, are also for use by other government departments as part of the National Indicator Set for their work with local authorities.

The purpose of the survey is not to judge academic performance nor to make assumptions about the quality of education provided by the schools where children and young people are surveyed. Rather it is a means of using the views of children and young people in the annual performance assessment and joint area review process.
