Secondary HLTA with Maths and Science Specialism

Local authorities have been allocated special funding for Maths & Science. The grant is to enable teaching support staff in secondary schools to receive training, support and assessment to achieve HLTA status with Maths or Science as a specialism.

Four S has extensive experience in training candidates in Maths and Science, as it was chosen as a provider for the TDA’s pilot scheme.

We can offer candidates a dedicated 12-day training route, which includes:

• Three days of preparation
• Five day of subject-specific training
• Four days of generic HLTA training

Additionally, Four S is working with local authorities to provide Maths and Science training opportunities.

If you are a teaching assistant interested in following this route to HLTA status, contact your local authority to find out about their programme and funding. Alternatively, you could contact Four S direct, who will help candidates to assess your training needs and what funding is available in your area.
