Before registering for assessment for HLTA assessment, candidates must be able to prove that they have Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in English / literacy and mathematics / numeracy. In this way they meet standard 11.

Lost Certificates
It is essential that you provide original copies of your numeracy and literacy certificates. If you cannot locate them, duplicates can be obtained from the three examination boards: Edexcel, AQA and OCR.

Please note that an authorised ‘Certificate Statement of Results’ for Examining Boards is acceptable, as long as it contains all relevant details on the subject, grade and year the qualification was achieved. Provisional results slips are not acceptable as proof of Level 2 qualifications.

HLTA candidates must have Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification for English / literacy and mathematics / numeracy. Original certificates must be brought to Day 1 of preparation.
