VT Four S: HLTA Regional Provider of Assessment (RPA) in London and the South East

VT Four S has been involved in the government’s HLTA initiative since its introduction in 2004. Since the beginning of HLTA Phase 2 in January 2006 we have been responsible for the assessment of all HLTA candidates across London and the South East, and we are proud to be the largest provider of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) services in the country.  

VT Four S holds the contract with the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) to provide rigorous, quality assured HLTA assessment for all candidates in the two Government Office Regions of London and the South East. This covers a total of 52 local authorities. We have successfully assessed over 4,000 teaching assistants who, with their newly gained status, are helping to raise standards in schools.

By July 2008, over 40,000 teaching assistants had achieved the status nationwide. The VT Four S HLTA team has contributed strongly to this success, offering high quality training, three day preparation and assessment across London and the South East.  We provide support and guidance to local authorities, senior leaders, governors and candidates through a range of consultations, briefings, workshops and conferences.
