VT Four S - Regional Provider of HLTA Assessment (RPA) in London and the South East Regions
VT Four S is proud to be the country’s largest provider of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) services. We have been involved since the beginning of the government initiative to develop HLTA status in 2004, as part of the broader workforce remodeling agenda. Four S now holds the contract with the Training and Development Agency (TDA) to provide rigorous, quality assured HLTA assessment for all candidates in London and the South East. This covers a total of 53 local authorities. Since January 2006 we have successfully assessed over 2000 teaching assistants who, with their newly gained status, are now helping to raise standards in schools.
By November ’07, over 19,000 teaching assistants had achieved the status nationwide. The Four S HLTA team has contributed strongly to this success, offering high quality training, 3 day preparation and assessment across the two regions. We provide support and guidance to local authorities, senior leaders, governors and candidates through a range of consultations, briefings, workshops and conferences.
We are proud to be involved in a national programme that is changing the lives of individuals and contributing significantly to the learning opportunities of children in our schools. We hope you will find the following pages and links useful as you seek to find out more about HLTA status. The Four S HLTA team is always pleased to help with individual enquiries. Please refer to the contacts page to access the appropriate advice.
